JOSEPH M. TROY

Joseph M. Troy is an honors graduate of Lawrence University and the University of Wisconsin Law School.

After a long and distinguished career as a judge, Mr. Troy returned to private practice with Habush Habush & Rottier in August 2007.  Mr. Troy served as an Outagamie County Circuit Court and as Chief Judge of the 8th Judicial District in his 20-year career on the bench.  In 2004 he was named Wisconsin Trial Judge of the Year by the American Board of Trial Advocates.  

Mr. Troy is a member of the faculty of the National Judicial College, has been an instructor at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, has lectured nationally for the U.S. Department of Justice Amber Alert training for officers.  He has served on the Wisconsin Civil Jury Instructions Committee, was Chair of the Wisconsin Committee of Chief Judges (2005-06) and of the Wisconsin Public Trust and Confidence Task Force, and was a founding board member and president of the Clean Break Juvenile Mentoring Program.  In 2002, he received the President's Award for Public Service from the State Bar of Wisconsin.

Mr. Troy practices in the firm's Appleton office.
