A huge explosion and fire recently occurred at a natural gas plant facility in southern Mississippi, a June 28 article of madison.com reported.

Information coming from Jackson County Emergency Management said that at 11:30 a.m. on June 27, an explosion took place at a gas facility owned by Enterprise Products Partner L.P. Another explosion soon followed. Authorities confirmed that the two workers inside the facility were safe from the explosion and fire in Pascagoula that ripped through the processing area. The company’s spokesperson reported that the facility’s natural gas capacity was well below the 1.5 billion cubic feet maximum when the blast took place.
