A huge aluminum factory explosion in Georgia left five people injured on June 29 and caused damage to the facility, an article of WSB-TV 2 reported.

The explosion, which rattled many surrounding establishments around 9:15 a.m., took place at Bonnell Aluminum on Bonnell Street in Coweta County. Reports confirmed that five people sustained injuries, two of which were life-threatening. Roads around the site were momentarily blocked while authorities conducted investigations on the explosion, which caused exterior damage to the facility. Responding authorities confirmed that the blast did not include hazardous materials. Two of Bonnell Aluminum’s workers told reporters that their job in the facility is not easy, even though extensive safety training is provided by the employer.
