The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office reported that one person was killed and two others were injured during a two-vehicle collision that happened around 2:44 p.m. on Friday, July 22. Police are still investigating the accident, which occurred along State Highway 23 at County Road TT in Sheboygan Falls.

WBAY identified the victims as 75-year-old Sheboygan resident Jane Reklaitis, who died as a result of her mortal injuries in the hospital she was taken to. Her husband, 81-year-old Joseph Reklaitis, was airlifted to a hospital in Milwaukee and sustained critical injuries. A 35-year-old woman from Plymouth suffered from injuries that are not life-threatening. The accident reconstruction team at the Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office is still conducting further investigation into the matter to find out what caused the accident in the first place. Alcohol was already ruled out as a factor of the crash.
