Thirty-seven-year-old Eagle in Waukesha County, Wisconsin resident Matthew Sowinski lost his life in a two-vehicle collision on Saturday, July 30 that occurred on Interstate 43 in Clinton in Rock County.

The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Department reported that Sowinski was killed at the scene of the accident when he was thrown out of his rolling vehicle.

According to preliminary investigations made by the Wisconsin State Patrol, Sowinski was driving a sports utility vehicle when he collided with a vehicle driven by a 54-year-old woman from Walworth, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the collision.

Police investigators said speed may have been a factor as he had been weaving in and out of traffic rapidly.
