The southbound lanes of Interstate 41 in the Town of Neenah were blocked for several hours after a semi-truck driver was involved in an accident, a report of Post-Crescent stated on August 10.
Information coming from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation revealed that around 2:40 a.m. a semi-truck containing fuel was involved in an accident at State 114. Winnebago County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Gordon Ledioyt reported that the unidentified driver crashed the truck due to inattentiveness. Fire crews from Neenah-Menasha also responded after approximately 75 gallons of fuel spilled on the highway when the trailer fell on its side. Traffic flow on the southbound lane of I-41 was diverted for almost seven hours while responding crews worked on the crash. A citation was given to the truck driver due to his recklessness.
