Juneau County three-vehicle collision kills two

The Wisconsin State Patrol has reported that a three-vehicle collision that happened at around 10:21 a.m. last Sunday, August 7 on the westbound lanes of Interstate 90 at 72 Westbound in Juneau County near Lyndon Station resulted in the death of two individuals.

Aside from the Wisconsin State Patrol, the Juneau County Sheriff’s Department, the Juneau County Highway Department, the Juneau County Coroner’s Office the Mauston Fire Department, and the Mauston Emergency Medical Services responded to the scene of the accident.

According to preliminary investigations, an eastbound vehicle struck a U-haul trailer, lost control, and crossed the median into the path of a westbound semi-truck.

The occupants of the first vehicle were declared dead at the scene of the accident while the occupant of the second vehicle sustained injuries of an unknown nature.
