Two die in Grant County semi-motorcycle accident

Two individuals lost their lives during a two-vehicle collision that happened along Highway 129 in South Lancaster Township in Grant County, Wisconsin on Friday, August 5 at around 8:50 a.m.

According to preliminary investigations made by the Grant County Sheriff’s Office, 27-year-old Lombard in the town of Withee in Clark County resident Eugeniu Caraus was driving a semi-truck along Highway 129 when he ran his vehicle past a stop sign, causing a collision with a motorcycle driven by 69-year-old Moline, Illinois resident John Hansen.

According to the Grant County ‘Office, Hansen and his passenger, 66-year-old Francine Hansen, were declared dead at the scene of the accident.
