Wisconsin Traffic Fatalities on the Rise in 2016

Posted on August 17, 2016 12:59 pm under Car Accidents

Traffic accidents typically result, at best, in thousands of dollars worth of repair costs and tragic fatalities at worst. Unfortunately, the number of traffic crash deaths in Wisconsin is on the rise for 2016 when compared to 2015.

Traffic deaths in the month of June alone have risen 9% over the previous year to a total of 51 deaths in June 2016. We continue to see this trend going into the month of July with over 10 traffic fatalities during Fourth of July holiday weekend alone. Currently, a total of 273 people have already died in motor vehicle accidents halfway into this calendar year. Of these deaths 24 pedestrians, five bicyclists, and two motorcycle passengers were implicated. Wisconsin officials are urging motorists to drive safely and respect any posted speed limits.
