Beef at various New Hampshire Farms recalled because of E. coli

Posted on August 23, 2016 2:28 pm under Defective Food Product

Chestnut Farms, PT Farm, Miles Smith, and Robie Farm have all issued recalls for their beef products following an E. coli outbreak in New Hampshire.

Product Description: 8,800 lbs of beef products, including ground beef, ground beef patties, and some other sub-primal cuts that were packaged between June 6 and June 16 of this year. An establishment number, M8868, will appear beside the USDA mark of inspection. All products were shipped to Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, or Vermont.

Fourteen people reported falling ill following the consumption of the meat in different parts of all the affected states. Anyone else who may have bought these products should immediately throw them out or seek medical attention if the meat was consumed and you’re experiencing the following symptoms: severe abdominal cramps and diarrhea that may be bloody.
