On August 4, 2016, Combi USA recalled their Coccoro convertible car seats to correspond with U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) regulations.
Product description: Coccoro car seats containing model numbers with first four digits 8220; date of production is from June 2009 to June 2016.
Risk: A seat installed in the forward-facing position can only be secured with the vehicle’s lap belt. In the case of a crash, this belt could put excessive force on the child, resulting in injury. Car seats installed in the opposite, rear-facing position, do not have the same risks.
Options: to install in the rear-facing position, the seat requires an additional cover, which can be provided at no charge when you contact Combi USA.
