One dead and dozens relocated after massive apartment fire

Milwaukee firefighters responded to an apartment fire around 4:30 in the morning on Sunday, August 21, in Sheboygan.

The complex, located near Business Drive and Washington Avenue, was very clearly on fire from an outside view. One of the many many displaced victims was found dead inside their apartment. Over half of the nearly 50-unit building is now completely unlivable and the Red Cross stepped in to help.

Investigators say with some confidence that the fire began in one of the affected apartments but they are unsure how.

Fires can be one of the most traumatic experience for people, between losing their many possessions, homes, and even lives. Our thoughts at Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ® go out to the victim and their loved ones, as well as everyone displaced by this tragedy.
