Man airlifted to hospital after motorcycle accident

One man was involved in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday, August 23 in Brooklyn on State Highway 104. Police responded at around 4 p.m.

According to the investigation, driver Kenneth E. DeBoer Jr., 48, from Freeport, Illinois, was driving his motorcycle south and lost control of the vehicle upon entering the west shoulder on accident. The motorcycle struck the ditch, throwing De Boer from the vehicle and injuring him.

He was, fortunately, wearing a helmet, but had to be airlifted to a nearby hospital.
