Recall of Etenmann’s brownies, muffins with possible plastic pieces

Posted on September 16, 2016 2:15 pm under Defective Food Product

Bimbo Bakeries has announced a voluntary recall of several variants of Entenmann’s products because small pieces of plastic are possibly contained inside.

The products were recalled because of a manufacturing error at a contract manufacturer’s bakery in Illinois. Among the items affected are Entenmann’s Little Bites Fudge Brownies, Entenmann’s Little Bites Chocolate Chip Muffins, and Entenmann’s Little Bites Variety with “best by” dates September 24, 2016 and October 8, 2016. The code number 3098 is printed next to the “best by” date on the outside of the box. The products were sold to stores in several states, including Wisconsin, in the past two weeks, according to the recall.

One report of injury has been received in connection with the recall, officials said.
