The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service declared last month that roughly 18,672 pounds of pork and sausage products needed to be recalled. The products, distributed by WFSP Foods LLC, in Alabama, were reportedly misbranded and failed to identify potential allergens on the packaging.
Description: 13.5-oz. packages containing “Land O’ Frost Simply Savory Bacon & Cheddar Smoked Sausage” with a “BEST BY: DEC. 04 2016” and packaging date of 06/07/16; with establishment number “EST. 45411”; shipped to retail locations nationwide.
To date, the company has not heard reports of adverse reactions. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged to immediately throw them away or return them. Consumers with questions about the recall can contact the Land O’ Frost Consumer Hotline, at 1(800) 762-9865.
