Driver flees vehicle accident scene and injured passenger

An intoxicated driver drove his vehicle into a creek, injuring himself and his passenger on Sunday, September 25 before leaving the scene on foot.

The report of the accident came from the 20-year-old’s injured passenger, a 21-year-old from Trenton who had suffered a head injury in the accident. The incident occurred near Ridge Road and Highland Drive in Barton and Washington County Sheriff’s deputies responded with the Kohlsville and Kewaskum Fire Departments. The vehicle had left the road, traveling over a flood bank and into the creek, according to the initial investigation.

Around noon the same day, the Sheriff’s Deputies finally located him, took him to receive medical attention, and arrested him following his release from the hospital.
