A two-car accident occurred on Friday, November 4 in Dodge County that was caused by driver fatigue.

The accident happened early in the morning at 5:26 in the Town of Oak Grove along State Highway 33. The responsible driver, 19-year-old Natalie R. Graff, had been traveling westbound in her 2014 Ford Fusion when she admitted to falling asleep behind the wheel. The vehicle momentarily crossed the center line, colliding with eastbound Caroline S. Kikkert, a 41-year-old driving a 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan.

Kikkert and Graff both faced injuries, though Graff’s were far more severe than Kikkert’s. They were both taken to Beaver Dam Community Hospital before being transferred to UW-Hospital in Madison.
