The cause of death for an Illinois line worker has been determined to be accidental electrocution following an accident that took place in Winnebago County on Monday, November 7.

The victim, 30-year-old Evan Hopperstad, had accidentally come into direct contact with a live wire. He was taken to a hospital in Dane County via airlift but died later. Authorities from both Illinois and Wisconsin have been working with the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration to investigate the cause of the accident.
