DUI Crash Injures Four

An accident involving a possible drunk driver injured at least four people on State Highway 33 near Coon Bluff Road.

Authorities were dispatched to the area after receiving a report of a crash Tuesday afternoon. According to the report, an unidentified car had slowed down while approaching the intersection when it was struck from behind by a sport utility vehicle. The impact of the collision caused the car to overturn a number of times. Its driver sustained injuries and was rushed to University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison via air ambulance. Two child passengers were transferred to Reedsburg Area Medical Center for treatment. The extent of their injuries remains unknown.

The SUV driver was also injured and hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries.
