Yankee Candles recalled

Posted on December 14, 2016 6:01 pm under Product Liability

In line with a recent US Consumer Products Safety Commission announcement, The Yankee Candle Company is recalling its candles which pose a laceration hazard.

According to a notice posted on their website, the candles included in the recall are limited to the Luminous Collection. The recall was initiated after the company received a consumer feedback stating that the glass jar used as a container could possibly crack once the candle is lit. Cracked glass could lead to cuts and scrapes. The items included in the Luminous Collection are the following:

  • Sea Salt & Coral
  • Blackberry & Sage
  • Apple Blossom & Melon
  • Sugarcane & Honey
  • Pine & Sandalwood
  • Cinnamon & Cedar

Yankee is urging its consumers to return the affected items to Yankee Candle store for a full refund. Consumers may also get a free candle of their choice as replacement.
