A Florida teen died after falling from a water slide at a resort on Lake Delton in the Wisconsin Dells Area Tuesday, reports say.
Local authorities were dispatched to the Mt. Olympus Water and Theme Park at approximately 10:30 p.m. According to the report, a 16-year-old boy, who was with his brother and a friend, climbed over a seven-foot fence to enter the closed water park. The boy tried to take a sled down a water slide, but it became caught in the snow. He was thrown off and fell 35 feet to his death.
The identification of the victim and the other two juveniles has not been released. The male teenager was reportedly visiting from Florida with his family.
Local investigators were called to the scene to determine liability. Initial investigation shows that the outdoor water park is closed for the season.
