Dawn Food Products announced that it is conducting a voluntary recall of their instant pudding and pie filling due to health hazards.

According to the announcement, the recall was initiated after Valley Milk Products, Dawn Food Products’ third-party powdered milk manufacturer, tested positive for salmonella contamination. The products subject to recall are limited to Dawn Foods’s R&H Speedy Crème Instant Pudding and Pie Filling. These items come in four-pound, two-ounce bags.

The company urges the public to stop consuming the products and return to the place of purchase for a full refund. To date, Dawn Food Products has not received any reports of illnesses after consuming the product. Anyone who has consumed the any of the recalled products should immediately consult with a health care provider.

The Valley Milk Products powdered milk has also been recalled in pork rinds and Shearer’s Foods chips.
