At least one person was injured in a collision on Blackhawk Trail in Waukesha, last Thursday evening.

The Waukesha patrol officers responded to the 1700 block of Blackhawk Trail following a report of a collision. According to the report, a truck was traveling near the area when, for yet unknown reasons, it suddenly crashed into a tree. The impact of the crash damaged the vehicle’s windshield and authorities found a nearby garage damaged.

Officers later located a man in the backyard and transported him to a local hospital for treatment. He was later identified as a 50-year-old man and was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI.

Preliminary investigation shows that the vehicle may have had two occupants. No identification was released and the investigation is still in progress.
