Suspected OWI driver caused crash on I-41

A vehicle collision, involving an alleged intoxicated driver, injured two people on Interstate 41, Wednesday, January 4. At around 10:30 p.m., the Wisconsin State Patrol officers responded to the scene after receiving a call reporting the crash. According to the report, the unidentified vehicle had been traveling along the southbound lane of the highway when it crashed into a passing car.

The impact of the collision injured some passengers in the second vehicle. The extent of their injuries was considered non-life threatening. The driver of the suspect vehicle was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. She was identified only as a 29-year-old woman and the victims’ identities were not released.

Authorities temporarily shut down two northbound lanes to clear debris from the roadway. Investigators were requested to the scene to determine liability.
