DPW Driver Struck while on the Job

by Administrator 3. March 2008 07:03
A Milwaukee DPW employee was struck by a car while she was working recently. The worker is a lady who holds a flag for pothole repair crews. The accident happened while the employee was attempting to stop traffic. A car was coming down the road and didn't see the flagger until it was almost too late. The first car managed to stop on time but then was rearended which pushed the car into the intersection and hit the DPW employee. The employee was unhurt in the accident but fears that it may happen again or that co-workers may be hit. Pothole season is just starting up which means there will be more crews on the roads throughout Milwaukee and Wisconsin.
