Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District Must Pay Damages to Business

by Administrator 27. December 2008 03:12
The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, a state entity run by tax-dollars, will have to pay $624,000 in damages as well as attorney's fees to a local business, E-L Enterprises, Inc.  The business filed suit against the Sewerage District in 2004, alleging that while it was constructing its sewage line underneath the business's building, it had damaged the building's foundation.  In 2007, a jury ruled that the sewage line drained water and caused wood to rot, leading the building to settle. When construction occurs, constructions workers and companies have to make sure that they do not damage property to belonging anyone, or else they will be liable for damages.  If construction has led to your property being damaged, contact the Milwaukee construction negligence lawyers of Habush, Habush, & Rottier.  Call800-2424-7205 or visit our website.
