Family Sues Bat Maker, Little League

by Administrator 22. May 2008 04:05
In 2006, 12-year-old Steven Domalewski was playing in a Police Athletic League baseball game as a pitcher when he was struck in the chest by a ball hit with an aluminum bat. His heart stopped beating, and he suffered brain damage as a result of 15 minutes of oxygen deprivation. Today, 2 years later, Steven's family has filed a lawsuit against the Little League Baseball and Sports Authority and Hillerich & Bradsby Co., the bat's manufacturer, claiming that both should have known that the aluminum baseball bat was dangerous for children to use. North Texas Toy Maker Recalls Toy

by Administrator 28. March 2008 05:03
A North Texas toy maker is recalling 122,000 units of its Rock 'n Ride plush rockers due to injuries to children who have used them. The recalled toys including the brown pony, pink pony, pink unicorn, deluxe pony, deluxe bull, lil' penguin, lil' propeller plane, and Clifford big red rocker models were manufactured between July and December of 2007. The toys have a tendency to tip over due to a faulty plastic base. This has lead to reports of bumps, bruises, and cuts on children. The rockers are sold at Wal-Mart, Toys 'R' Us, K-Mart, Target, Atwoods, and Pamida stores, as well as through the Internet. The toys are manufactured by a firm in China. Johnson & Johnson Issues Recall for Pain Patch

by Administrator 13. February 2008 02:02
Johnson & Johnson has issued a voluntary recall for about 32 million units of its popular pain patch Duragesic, due to concerns that manufacturing problems may lead to accidental overdose. The recall affects all 25 microgram per hour patches sold in the United States by the PriCara Unit of Johnson & Johnson. Fentanyl, an opioid in Duragesic, may cause respiratory problems or death by overdose. Several lawsuits have been filed against Duragesic over the years, with a case yielding a $5.5 million verdict in summer of last year. Nonetheless, a PriCara spokesman insisted that the product was overall safe and beneficial to the market. Duragesic registered $1.16 billion in sales in 2007. A Milwaukee personal injury lawyer from the Habush Habush & Rottier law firm can help you if you have been adversely affected by a defective product. Call them at 800-242-7205 today.
