1 Dead, 1 in Critical Condition After Single-Car Crash

by Administrator 26. February 2010 03:07

A 76-year-old Milwaukee woman was killed in a single-car crash Saturday, while her 75-year-old husband remains in critical condition after being taken to Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa. Authorities say their Toyota Camry was speeding down the highway when it hit two poles and a snowbank. The vehicle became airborne and flipped over. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are investigating the crash. The Camry is not on the Toyota recall list, but investigators will check the gas pedal and other mechanical components as standard procedure. Both people were wearing seat belts.
