A Wisconsin man was charged with recklessly endangering safety for injuring a firefighter in a hit-and-run accident last week. A firefighter was assisting at a Milwaukee car accident when the accused man drove around several stopped cars into the intersection. Authorities say that when the firefighter tried to stop him, the driver accelerated into him, injuring the firefighter's wrist and bruising his knee. He then drove away, police said.

The accused man told investigators that he was in a hurry to get a soda from McDonalds before a business meeting. A criminal complained was filed against him Saturday. If convicted, he faces a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison.
