Man Killed in Industrial Accident

by Administrator 19. February 2010 05:32

A 61-year-old Milwaukee resident died after being trapped under a piece of steel at an industrial facility Tuesday. The medical examiner's report states that the man was using an overhead lift hoist to move an 8-foot-by-10-foot piece of steel into a building when the two-ton piece of steel fell, trapping him.

Firefighters were sent to the building around 11 a.m., and he was pronounced dead around noon, the medical examiner's report said. His coworkers performed CPR before the firefighters arrived. He died on the scene.
