Volkswagen / Audi Diesel Emissions Fraud

Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. ® is currently representing Wisconsin vehicle owners who may be affected by the Volkswagen & Audi scandal.

The Environmental Protection Agency announced on September 18th that half a million Volkswagen and Audi vehicles sold in the United States failed to meet U.S. emissions standards, despite being advertised as “clean diesel.”  Volkswagen and Audi tricked emissions tests for these vehicles with software that allowed the vehicles to sense when they were being subjected to emissions testing.

When a vehicle was undergoing emissions testing, the vehicle’s emission control system was activated, allowing those cars to pass. However, when not subjected to testing, the cars would emit anywhere from 10-40 times the legal limit of pollutants.

It is believed that as many as 10,000 of these vehicles are in Wisconsin.
