Wisconsin Accident Lands Michigan Trucking in Hot Water

A Detroit-based trucking company has come under fire since an accident outside Milwaukee killed a person.

Dr. Krishna Neni was killed last week after a wheel came off of an 18-wheeler and smashed into his windshield. The truck was driving in the southbound lanes of I-43 when the wheel came off and bounced into the northbound lanes. The truck driver did not stop.

Police used highway cameras to track the truck to a Detroit based company. The company later traced it to 66-year-old Carlos de Santos of Port Huron. De Santos, the driver, claims he did not realize he lost a wheel until he stopped for gas in Indiana. He has not been charged with anything as of yet.
