A man in Washington was jailed following an accident and a short police pursuit north of Seattle. The man has an extensive history of driving under the influence.
The man, who is currently behind bars, has been stopped and charged with suspicion of drunk driving 15 times in the past 10 years. These charges have lead to 5 convictions.
The most recent arrest comes after police believe the man rear-ended a different vehicle on the off ramp of Interstate 5 around 12:30 in the morning. He was arrested on suspicion of DU. He had three outstanding warrants; two were for eluding police and the third for a prior DUI. The new charges include felony DUI and eluding charges as well as misdemeanor charges for hit-and-run, driving with a revoked license, and resisting arrest.
