A Milwaukee DPW employee was struck by a car while she was working recently. The worker is a lady who holds a flag for pothole repair crews.
The accident happened while the employee was attempting to stop traffic. A car was coming down the road and didn’t see the flagger until it was almost too late. The first car managed to stop on time but then was rear-ended which pushed the car into the intersection and hit the DPW employee.
The employee was unhurt in the accident but fears that it may happen again or that co-workers may be hit. Pothole season is just starting up which means there will be more crews on the roads throughout Milwaukee and Wisconsin.
