Worker Injured in Accident

Posted on February 17, 2009 8:02 am under Fires and Explosions

A sub-contractor was injured in an accident in the early hours of Tuesday. The accident occurred around 3rd and Burnham.

The accident occurred while the sub-contractor was working on a sewer project. He was cutting concrete to remover an old sewer line so that a new sewer line could be installed. The process of removing the cuts requires the use of a crane to lift up the slabs of concrete. When doing this a piece of concrete broke off the slab and fell onto the workers legs.

The worker was transported to a local hospital. His injuries were listed as non-life threatening.
