Wisconsin’s New Hunting Age

Posted on August 31, 2009 5:47 am under Personal Injury

A new bill has recently passed and is about to go into effect that will allow 10 year-olds to carry guns and hunt. This new law will lower the hunting age to 10 for individuals who have adult supervision. The previous age was 12.

This new law will take effect Tuesday. Many have come out strongly in favor or opposition to this bill. Many believe that it is important to teach children safe hunting techniques at an early age. Many others fear that children with firearms is never a good idea, and that hunting accidents will be more common because of this new law.
