Five people were treated for hypothermia after a boat capsized Saturday evening in Pewaukee Lake, authorities said. Four people were fishing in a boat on the lake when the boat capsized. One person swam to shore for help, authorities said, and a bystander went out in a rowboat to help. The bystander also ended up in the water, however.
Rescue personnel used a rowboat to pull the three people who were fishing and the bystander who tried to help them from the water and brought them to shore. The water temperature was in the low 40s, authorities said, and is about 6-8 feet deep where the boat capsized. All five were treated on the scene for hypothermia.
