Two people were injured in a head-on crash on the Hoan Bridge, Thursday morning.

According to officials with the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Department, two drivers were transported to a hospital after a crash in the northbound lanes of I-794 shortly after 1:30 a.m. Thursday morning. Police say the crash occurred when a 30 year-old woman driving a Dodge Avenger was traveling the wrong way in the northbound lanes of the highway and was struck by an Acura driven by a 55 year-old man from Hartland.

Deputies smelled alcohol on the breath of the woman and her speech was slurred, according to the police report. She was arrested on charges of drunken driving and felony injury by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle.
