A Wisconsin man has filed a lawsuit against the company MTD for a snow blower defect that caused lasting injuries to his hands.

James LaFleur was injured when he attempted to inflate the tires on his snow blower. As he was inflating a tire, the plastic rim suddenly exploded, injuring both of LaFleur’s hands and causing traumatic arthritis in his fingers.

The company responsible for the plastic rims, MTD, has issued a recall for the defect. Many different brands are affected and are sold at a variety of stores throughout Wisconsin.
