The victim of a slip and fall accident at a Starbucks store in San Diego has been awarded $7.5 million as a result of the lawsuit he filed.

The case had been in court for 2 and 1/2 weeks when the jury ultimately reached a verdict of $7.5 million. They determined that Starbucks was negligent when dealing with the maintenance of their store in San Diego. The manager at the location had soaked a mop and mopped the floor just minutes before the customer slipped and hit his head.

The customer, whose occupation was a chiropractor, received a head injury. He was unable to begin working again and therefore could not provide income for his family.
