University of Wisconsin student claims athletic director assaulted him

Posted on February 7, 2012 2:47 pm under Sexual Assault

A University of Wisconsin student’s claims are the reasons behind the senior associate athletic director for the university resigning on January 6, 2012. The student alleges that the director inappropriately touched him while on a trip to Pasadena, California for the Rose Bowl.

The alleged incident occurred during a hotel party in the director’s room. When the party was winding down, the director approached the student, who was employed by the athletic department at the university, and proceeded to take off his belt and reach down his pants. The student fought back and removed the director’s hand and walked away from the situation.

No files were charged until the team and the staff returned to Madison, Wisconsin. After they returned, police, as well as university officials, were notified of the incident. An investigation into these charges is still underway.
