Milwaukee deputy injured when squad car is hit

Posted on March 5, 2012 4:47 pm under Car Accidents

A Milwaukee County sheriff’s deputy was injured on Sunday morning when his parked squad car was struck at the scene of an accident.

The deputy was responding to a separate car accident, where a 22-year-old man struck a wall after he was speeding. The driver was charged with driving under the influence and possessing an illegal substance. While the deputy was inside his squad car processing the current case, a 44-year-old woman struck his vehicle, injuring him in the process.

The woman was cited for driving without insurance as well as not paying attention while operating a motor vehicle. This is the second time in the same weekend that a Milwaukee County sheriff squad car has been hit.
