Large storms struck numerous parts of Wisconsin overnight. These storms caused wind and hail damage, flooding, and schools to close their doors today.
Up until 9 a.m. this morning, residents in parts of Winnebago, Manitowoc, and Calumet counties were under a flash flood warning. The National Weather Service had issued the warning in these eastern counties due to more than four inches of rain falling overnight.
Western counties were also affected by the intrusive storms. Several counties reported power outages, hail damage, and uprooted trees. More storms are expected to come through the state again throughout the day on Thursday, and Wisconsin residents have been advised to act cautiously when they are outside of their homes.
