Construction on I-94 in Milwaukee to cause traffic delays

Posted on May 23, 2012 11:48 am under Car Accidents

Road construction projects in Milwaukee may cause significant delays over Memorial Day weekend. Construction on I-94 and the Mitchell Exchange are expected to create traffic congestion in the Milwaukee area.

This holiday weekend will also bring an increase in motor vehicles to the roadways. Drivers should proceed with caution on the main roads and prepare for a longer commute time. Drivers must maintain the proper speed limit in construction zones in order to avoid rear-end collisions.

Hundreds of law enforcement agencies throughout the state have plans to increase the number of patrol officers for the weekend. These officers will be responsible for stopping distracted drivers as well as drivers not wearing their seat belts. These added measures will hopefully prevent the car accidents that kill, on average, nine people each year over Memorial Day weekend.

Accidents on highways occur quite frequently and frequently result in serious injuries. If you have been injured on a highway due to someone else’s negligence, please contact the car accident attorneys of Habush Habush & Rottier S.C. by calling 800-242-2874 today.
