When an individual gets behind the wheel in the state of Wisconsin, they face high odds of hitting a deer with their vehicle. According to the annual report released by the insurance company, State Farm, Wisconsin ranked seventh out of all the states in regards to deer-vehicle crashes.

Last year, it was determined that one in 88 drivers would run into a deer with their car on Wisconsin roads. This year, State Farm figured that one in 79 drivers were at risk for these hazardous accidents. The data that was used in order to rank the states showed that the most common month for these accidents is November.

In order to avoid these dangerous collisions, drivers need to stay on high alert between the hours of 6 p.m. and 9 p.m., the time range when deer sightings are most frequent. It is also imperative to know that deer tend to travel in packs.
