Japanese automaker Nissan announced that it would be recalling  a total of 3,000 Versa Note hatchbacks that have problems with bolts installed in two different locations of the vehicle, a report from The Los Angeles Times said on Tuesday, August 6.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said that Nissan will recall 7,707 2014 Notes model for loose or missing bolts on the lower body sill of the vehicle and another 7,782 of a 2014 model vehicle with a defective latch bolt on the back seat. The agency said these two auto defects may cause injuries in the event of an accident.

Car owners are advised to contact their dealers to have their vehicles fixed for free.
