Jaguar Land Rover North America LLC will be recalling two cars in the U.S. due to possible stopping issues and a defective power window switch, according to an August 15 report.
The recall affects 940 XF 2-liter GTDi 2013 models that may stall due to loss of brake and steering assistance, which may occur when the hose clamp of the charge air cooler detaches. The recall also affects 1,989 XK convertibles from 2011 to 2014 that have a defective switch in the roof console that controls the power window. Arm and finger injuries may result due to the inadvertent activation of the power window.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said dealers will either replace or inspect the concerned parts of the affected cars for free starting September 27.
