ConAgra Foods recall dumplings sold in the U.S.

Posted on September 27, 2013 1:48 pm under Defective Food Product

Food distributor ConAgra is recalling its frozen pork and leek dumplings that have crustacean shellfish and pollock in it. These ingredients were not listed on the packaging, which could cause potentially serious issues for certain people.

According to the recall, the unmentioned ingredients in the PF Chang’s Home Menu Pork and Leek Dumplings may cause health issues to people who are allergic to crustacean and pollock. The issue in the recalled dumplings was discovered after a complaint was made by a consumer. No illnesses were reported before the recall, but ConAgra Foods is advising people who have allergies to crustacean and fish not to eat the recalled dumplings.

ConAgra is also coordinating with retailers to have the products removed from their shelves immediately.
