Posted on February 27, 2014 1:51 pm under Product Liability

Fitbit’s line of fitness wristbands were recalled because of allergens that were affecting consumers.

According to reports, a significant percentage of consumers suffered from allergic reactions while using their fitness wristbands. Fitbit’s CEO, James Park was apologetic for the incidents of skin irritation related to wristband use.

The wristband was manufactured with nickel which can act as an irritant. Fitbit will stop selling the affected devices in addition to offering consumers a refund or replacement.
