The USDA has recently made a list of vendors across the United States affected by a food recall. Recalled meat from the Rancho Feeding Corp. was produced from cows that were either ill or deceased. The meat was distributed to at least 35 states.
Thousands of stores were added to the list of vendors affected by the recall. The USDA will continue to update the list as more information becomes available. USDA spokesperson Adam Tarr said that the agency will work to make sure the recalled meat products are taken off of the shelves as quickly as possible. Illnesses related to the contaminated beef products have not yet been reported.
Contaminated foods pose a serious risk to consumers. If you have become ill because of defective food, you shouldn’t be responsible for covering expenses related to the resulting illness that you may experience.
